Meet Dr. Roger C. Schmidt

Dr. Roger Schmidt graduated from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry and since beginning his dental practice in Rockford, he has completed hundreds of hours of advanced dental training, with emphasis on cosmetic and full mouth dentistry.  Some of the prestigious organizations Dr. Schmidt has studied with include “Mastering Form and Function and Anterior Aesthetics,” Rhy Spoor director, “Full Mouth Synergy,”  “Ultimate Occlusion Program 1 and 2,”  and “Occlusion Unlocked,”  all with the Hornbrook Group.

His specialty has become aesthetic dentures. Implementing the “Massad Method,”  Dr. Schmidt had a reputation for designing and creating well-fitting, natural looking dentures. The customization of the dentures he designs is in the details.  He takes into consideration each patient’s facial proportions as well as hair and eye color.

Dr. Schmidt has been instrumental in keeping his office at the forefront of technology from digital radiographs, diode lasers, implants, and ozone therapy to safe mercury removal protocol.  Dr. Schmidt is an active participant in whole body wellness through dentistry.  He believes wellness and health can be achieved by anyone and it can start with dental health.

Dr. Schmidt is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Association, Winnebago County Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

When not in the office Dr. Schmidt enjoys snow skiing, heli-skiing, hiking, and kayaking.
